– Yegor, congratulations on your debut!– Thank you! I am very happy. Of course, I feel great. Scored a goal in the first game, and our team got a win. I am very happy about this and extremely pleased.
About the game... The guys did a great job! It is great to win after trailling with two goals. This requires a strong character. Thanks to desire and strong–willed spirit, we managed to tie the game up and get a win.
– You had a great chance to score in the first period.
– Do you mean the far post opportunity?
– Yes, there was an empty net.
– In this case, the puck moved forward a little. I did not manage to redirect it.
– Probably, you did not even imagine that after the game you would get a Wolf pendant.
– To be honest, I did not even know that Neftekhimik had such a tradition. I just joined the team. So I am very happy.
– Can you describe the way you scored?
– We had a counterattack. I got the possesion of the puck on the blue line, made a couple of steps deep into the zone, slowed down and and made a shot. Did I see that there was a traffic infront of an opposing goaltender? Of course I saw that. The guys did a good job.
