Neftekhimik and Avangard won their first games and both teams had one goal - to continue their winning streak.
Neftekhimik started the game with taking a penalty. Neftekhimik defended well and even scored a shorthanded goal – Roman Abrosimov made it 1–0. Avangard tired to rush Neftekhimik's net, Dolganov did a good job and did not let the home team to tied the game up.In the second, the home team tied the game up and got a one–goal lead.
Avangard scored its third goal at the start of the third period. Six and a half minutes into the third period, Bulat Shafigullin made it 2–3.
Unfortunately, that was not enough to save the game.
