A well–deserved win for Neftekhimik

Neftekhimik won three out of four game at the start of the regular season. Today our team faced last year’s Gagarin Cup finalist – Lokomotiv.
In the first period Neftekhimik played well and got its first power play opportunity. Nikita Khoruzhev scored his first KHL goal after Dmitry Zhukenov’s feed into the net.
Neftekhimik could have doubled its advantage. Unfortunately, we did not get advantage of goal–scoring chances our team had. Lokomotiv could tied the game up with Berezkin's breakaway. Neftekhimik goaltender Filipp Dolganov kept our team in the game.
In the second period, both teams could score goals. However, Lokomotiv's net was saved by left bar and Neftelhimik players blocked a lot of shots, that is why the second period was scoreless.
Lokomotiv tried to tie the game up, but Neftekhimik players blocked shots 21 and Filipp Dolganov stopped all the shots he faced and got his first shutout of the season.
