Neftekhimik player Andrei Belozyorov speaks with the media after a following 1–4 loss against Salavat Yulaev.
– It was a tough game for both sides. I think that our execution let us down today, which is why the score is like this. But I don’t agree that the score is in line with the game.
– Your team just recently played in Ufa. How was today’s game different from the previous one?
– We started playing actively, we clung to the game. But, as it turned out, even that wasn’t enough to win.
– Neftekhimik is fighting for the playoffs. What do you think is wrong with getting into the top eight?
– In my opinion, we lack luck. We create a lot of chances, but we can’t convert everything. But through work, everything will come. Of course, there is a chance of getting into the playoffs.
– The day before yesterday we played in Tolyatti, where we won a hard-fought victory over Lada. Is there any similarity with today’s meeting?
– There is no similarity. After all, Salavat Yulaev demonstrates a completely different hockey. We adapt to each opponent in order to achieve success.
