Artyom Serikov: «We will draw conclusions and move on»

Neftekhimik forward Artyom Serikov talks with the media after a following 0–5 loss against Severstal.
– The team had plenty of goal–scoring chances but did not score. Why?– It is the beginning of the championship, we are still getting used to the new coaching requirements. The main thing is for the fans not to get upset, all the games are ahead, we need to believe.
– What, in your opinion, was missing to turn the game around?
– I think that it was scoring goals. There were good moments in the first period, several two–on–one opportunities – if we had scored, the game would have been completely different.
– What is the mood in the team after such a game?
– The fighting spirit remains. We will draw conclusions and move on. Honestly, I did not even expect such a charge from the team – I do not think there was such a mood last season. Do not hang your head, everything is ahead.
– What would you like to say to the fans who supported us so much today?
– Coming out for the third period, I was thinking about the fans. It is a pity that they saw such a result, but please – do not get upset, do not write bad comments. We are all human beings, we all make mistakes. This is a game, this is hockey. Victories and good games are definitely ahead!
