Neftekhimik forward Danil Yurtaikin speaks with the media after a following 3–2 shootout win over SKA.
– It was a good and fast–paced game. Filipp and Yaroslav really kept us in the game. We played a lot in the D– zone in the first period; in the second and third we played better. So, congratulations to everyone!
We won primarily thanks to our belief in ourselves and our teammates. We started to have more possesion of the puck, which is why we scored on the power play.
About my goal... Well, it only took seven seconds. We won the faceoff, there was a shot, the puck bounced, and I scored. So, it was simple and effective.
We got one point in the last game, and today we got two. Of course, any win always gives you momentum. We nipped that momentum in the bud a bit, so hopefully, things will continue to go smoothly.
There was a lot of drama, drive, and emotion today. I cannot remember a time when that happened before. Games are always different, there are so many matches. So, today was probably one of those games where a lot happened. We will move on. Well, I guess we deserved to win after all.
