Evgeny Mityakin: «It was a high–scoring game»
28.11.2025

Neftekhimik forward Evgeny Mityakin speaks with the media after a following 7–5 win over Shanghai Dragons.
– Honestly, I did not even know about this record. Alexei Mitroshin, our goaltender coach, only told me about it before the game. At first, I didn't even understand what he was talking about. But other than that, it's certainly nice. Every player wants to play consistently, and I'm no exception. I hope I can continue to do so. I need to prove myself on the ice, and most importantly, I need to contribute to the team and win.– What can you say about today's game?
– Let's say it was a high–scoring game. We made some unnecessary mistakes on defense. But the good thing is that we scored seven goals, and the power play worked well. How many goals we scored isn't important, the main thing is that we scored and won. Overall, it was a good win, and a good feeling.
– We scored four in the third period but conceded two. Was it because we relaxed at some point?
– Well, there was probably some loss of concentration, because the score quickly became 6-3, with three goals in a row... But you still have to play hard from the first minute to the sixtieth minute. So this is a lesson for us that we need to play until the very end and play hard on every shift with maximum focus.
