Fyodor Kroschinsky: «It was a tough game»
04.03.2025

Neftekhimik player Fyodor Kroschinsky speaks with the media after a following 0–1 loss against Admiral.
– It was a tough game, both teams are fighting for the result. Every point is worth its weight in gold now, that is why there were so few goals. Everyone is trying not to make mistakes, play in a right way and take advantage of their chances.– Today was a tough start. Only towards the end of the first period did the team come to their senses. What is the reason for this?
– Maybe because we are not used to playing at such an early hour. At the same time, Admiral is a very good team, very fast. We gradually began to impose our game on them.
– In the second period, the team went forward. Did you change anything in the tactics during the break?
– We understood what was happening on the ice and what needed to be changed. The coaching staff helped us with this. They gave us some tips, so we came out for the second period completely differently.
– In general, the opponent did not really let us into their slot.
– Admiral has a good defense, it is difficult to get past it. They play well in the middle zone. At the beginning of the match, we had problems with this. Towards the end of the game we figured them out and dangerous moments started to appear, but we lacked somewhere.
– The day after tomorrow is the second game. What can you say?
– There will be a rematch. We will give everything we have to win. This will be the final road game, there will be nowhere to save energy. I think there will be a battle. We are definitely not going to give up.
