Neftekhimik forward German Tochilkin speaks with the media after a following 1–0 win over Barys.
– Yeah, it wasa quite a hard–battled and intense game. The opponent had few chances, and so did we. The most important thing is to make the most of these numerous moments, which is what we did. And, thank God, we won, let's move on.– What can you say about the goal that we scored?
– It was a matter of chance: Khoruzhev opened up great, I passed the puck to him, he moved the puck up to Fedotov, Max made a shot – we already scored a similar goal. It’s great that it’s working out and that we’re scoring.
– This is the second such game with a minimum quantity of scored goals. Before this there were a lot of scored goals...
– The championship games are already approaching the finish line, so each team is getting ready for the games, everyone wants to get points, that’s why I think games like this are coming out.
– Was it possible that you left too many emotions in the game against Ak Bars?
– The game against Ak Bars was clearly more emotional, because we have a Tatar derby (crosstown rivalry), there is extreme motivation to defeat the opponent. Here, of course, we also tune in to each opponent. Both there and there we have a lot of emotions. I won’t say that there was a lack of emotion today—there were skirmishes and fights, so we can’t say that there wasn’t enough emotion. The same emotional game: they bite, and we fight back even more. At the end of the season, all the games are so emotional.
– The ending of the game was tense. What did the coaches on the bench say?
– Play your own hockey the same way, even with four of us, don’t pay attention, act actively so that the opponent makes mistakes, which is what we did. And just play hockey, don’t shut yourself down under any circumstances.
– Can Yaroslav Ozolin be pointed out?
– Certainly! Today Yarik (Ozolin) has his second shutout in a row, he’s doing great. I'm very happy for him, happy for his progress.
