16.01.2025

Director of the Neftekhimik Hockey School Ildar Damirovich Nugmanov shared his impressions of the results of the record–breaking competition held at Neftekhimik Hockey School:

“The school record–breaking competition was held for the first time. We identified the strongest, best students in all age groups. Eight teams participated, from 10 to 18 years old – 227 people in total. Judging by the children’s emotions, everything went great. It was a holiday for them, the main thing is that they found it interesting.

There were also unexpected results – both for the students and for the coaches. For example, Timur Makarov, born in 2009, ran a lap for speed and became the fastest in our school. Arseniy Borodin threw the puck into the goal at a speed of 142 km/h, which is not possible for every player, even at the KHL level.

At the awards ceremony, there was another competition to determine the best sniper, in which 32 record-breakers took part. It was necessary to make an accurate throw at the pins on the goal line. The competition was held with good sports excitement, the guys themselves had a great time.

The sports festival that was held united the guys even more, no one was left indifferent. Moreover, everyone received prizes. Such competitions in the organization of children's hockey are always beneficial, together with the training process - this is the key to our future victories.

Although we always say that hockey is a team sport, and only the team wins, not the individual hockey player. But in such competitions you can see the desire of the guys who want to improve and become better. In fact, only our best students get into the MHL, VHL, KHL. According to these indicators, coaches will evaluate them in the future, because hockey is now becoming much younger, and speed data is especially important."

Ramil Rashatovich Nugumanov, the coach of the 2014 team, spoke about the results of his students:
"I know my boys, their strengths and weaknesses, so the results are expected. I will not hide the fact that some guys pleasantly surprised me. I will give an example, Dmitry Kadykov, he was born in 2015, he plays with guys a year older, but in terms of physical development and hockey thinking he is not inferior to anyone. Due to their age, our boys do not fully understand. Now they have seen, watched how solemnly everything is held and, I think, next year the guys will approach participation much more seriously."
