– Today we faced a very strong opponent. The guys were selected, all six feet tall. In the second period, of course, the team was kept in the game thanks to Lyubalin. There were clashes and skirmishes, Meskantsov did well, he was not afraid of a player twice his height, he showed character. As for the tournament, I am pleased that the team is developing character, spirit, despite the fact that there are many new guys. No one was scared. The team and fighting qualities decide. Everyone came out to the final charged up, even too much, maybe that's why the first two periods did not go, everyone wanted to win. The goalie line did well, Rukhlyadev and Lyubalin are pleasing, both played at a high level. The coaching staff and I decided to toss a coin, heads or tails, who would go to the final with Tolyatti.
