Igor Grishin: «There is nothing special»

27.02.2026

Neftekhimik Head Coach Igor Grishin speaks with the media before the road trip.

– It's clear that this is the toughest trip due to the time zone change. Is there any special preparation plan for the games in Khabarovsk and Vladivostok?
There is nothing special. I think we'll use Moscow time. Of course, it's a little unusual for us: the time of day will just shift a little—it'll be daytime here, dark there, nighttime here, daytime there. But we'll adjust to it; all teams go through this.

Regarding the roster, it's easier to ask who won't be traveling with the team.
We have twenty-four field players and three goaltenders, making 27 players total. Dinar Khafizullin is definitely not traveling; he's injured.
Andrei Belozyorov is traveling with the team. We'll decide on his condition once we get there whether he can play or not. Otherwise, there might be some line changes.

The teams are in the home stretch of the regular KHL Championship. The importance of the results of these four games probably goes without saying.
I think this road trip will determine whether we'll make the playoffs. So we're going into this trip with high hopes and great focus on achieving this ttsk.
