Neftekhimik head coach Igor Grishin speaks with the media after a following 0–5 loss against Severstal.
– It is hard to come to a press conference after such games. The opponent completely outplayed us in the game, what can I say – it was obvious. The game was not a success, the opponent played great today.
– How would you rate the atmosphere in the stands?
– The atmosphere was good. At the first game of the season, you could hear the support, and the person who got the fans going worked well – it was noticeable. Unfortunately, we failed to please the fans, and it is unpleasant when people start leaving the stands at the end of the game. This is not a very good moment, but we will try not to let things like this happen in the future.
– What positive things can be taken away from this game?
– We had scoring chances, we created them, although they are difficult to convert so far. We have quite skilled forwards, and against a team like Severstal, we need to be careful with scoring chances. Goals scored decide the outcome of the game, and we need to seriously work on this component. Without goals scored, games are not won.
