Ilnar Misbakhov: «We needed a win»

Reaktor Acting Head Coach Ilnar Misbakhov speaks with the media after a following 10–8 win over Sputnik.
– What can you say about this season?– Firstly, it's good that we won today. After a losing streak, we needed a win. It was a good victory.
– Why this game end with 10–8 score on the scoreboard?
– We scored well–timed goals. We didn't do a good job defensively. The guys seemed to relax and didn't play well defensively. Thank God we won this game.
At the end of the season, it's bad that we didn't make it to the play–in zone, even though we really wanted to make it. We worked hard. So, we will work harder and get stronger.
There were many positive things. We became the best team in the JHL according to power play stats. That's a very respectable result. Vsevolod Favrichnikov is among the top in the League in blocked shots. Birdychkin is also among the best. Muissu and Reshetnikov scored a lot of points. Overall, there are a lot of positives, but it's very disappointing that we didn't make it to the play–in zone.
– Whose progress would you point out in this season?
– Reshetnikov. He worked hard every practice, gave it his all in every game. He scored a decent amount of points. I hope that he will continue to develop his skills.
– What are the team's plans?
– We'll get home and discuss it with management. The guys need to rest. We'll decide when we'll get back together and continue working. Some guys from the 2009 and 2010 YHL will be joining us. We'll be watching them. We'll be checking everyone out at the end of the season.
