– The opponent scored one more goal. That says it all. We had plenty of chances but could not convert them.– In the first period, we had a comfortable advantage: a minute and a half of five-on-three play. But we did not capitalize on it...
– They have a good goaltender. As for us, we just lacked a bit of luck. We will train, put in the work, and things will be fine moving forward.
– From the middle of the second period on, Neftekhimik completely dominated. Yet, we could not turn that advantage into goals. In that situation, perhaps we lacked some unconventional plays?
– I think we lacked a bit of creativity; we needed to be a little craftier. But overall, we played well. We needed to convert our chances, but we could not, and that is why we lost.
– It felt like our own mistakes let us down a bit ...
– That is hockey; mistakes happen. The only person who does not make mistakes is the one who does nothing. We are working hard and moving forward. We have a game against Traktor coming up – we need to win!
