Neftekhimik lost to Barys 1–3.

After 40 minutes of the game Neftekhimik had a 1-goal lead. Ansel Galimov made it 1–0. In the third period, Barys scored two unanswered goals. Neftekhimik tried to tie the game up by replacing the goaltender by an extra-forward. Unfortunately, Barys scored an empty-net goal.
