Neftekhimik 2-1 OT Avangard 11/03/2021

Neftekhimik got a win over Avangard 2-1 OT.

Both teams had great chances to score first goal of the evening. Nikolai Prokhorkin (Avangard) hit the post and late in the game, Lukas Klok (Neftekhimik) made a goal line clearance to keep the game scoreless.

It took some time for the opening goal. At the 52th minute of the game, Peter Cehlarik gave Avangard the lead. Fortunately, 46 seconds later, Evgeny Mityakin scored after rebound and tied up the game. That took the game to overtime.

Dan Sexton scored a game winning goal with Neftekhimik first shot attempt of overtime. This victory moves the Neftekhimik back into top eight.
