Now, let us turn to the new arrivals. During the offseason, Traktor succeeded in signing high-quality international players – including forward Boris Katchouk, who has Russian roots.

He comes from a family with a strong athletic background; his mother, Yelena Tumanova, was a Soviet speed skater and an Olympian. However, that is not his only notable attribute. At 28, he brings extensive experience from the NHL and AHL, having played nearly 500 games combined. He is a physically powerful and mentally resilient player, possessing a solid shot and the ability to excel in front of the net.

Another international addition, also from Canada, is Nathan Légaré. "One of our goals in the player market this offseason was to find a mobile, aggressive winger – and Nathan fits that description perfectly," stated club General Manager Alexei Volkov earlier this summer.

Another significant acquisition concerns the last line of defense: Norwegian goaltender Henrik Haukeland, who has signed a contract running through the end of the 2027–28 season. At the most recent World Championship, Haukeland was named the tournament’s best goaltender. He helped the Norwegian national team secure a bronze medal, defeating Canada in the third-place game. Among the other acquisitions, notable additions include defensemen Vladislav Valentsov (formerly of Vityaz and the Shanghai Dragons) and Ivan Vydrenkov (acquired via trade from SKA), as well as forwards Nikita Soshnikov (from Admiral) and Artyom Udot (from Yugra).

Traktor Coaching Staff
This summer, Scott Gordon, a 63-year-old specialist from the United States, was brought in as head coach. As a former goaltender, he played 23 games in the NHL and 151 in the AHL; he also represented the United States at the 1991 World Championship and the 1992 Olympic Games. In his coaching career, he has served as head coach for the New York Islanders and the U.S. national team.

Ahead of the 2026–27 season, 37-year-old Dennis Brandon joined the coaching staff as an assistant head coach.
