Neftekhimik defenseman Nikita Khlystov speaks with the media after a following 2–1 win over Sibir.
– What was the key to today's success?– Probably, first of all, a desire to win. Sibir had a good winning–streak, on our side it was different. That is why we had more desire to win. We surpassed the guests in fighting spirit. Although Sibir is a tough team, that is how the game turned out.
– Sibir is the league leader in power play scoring goals. By the way, you did not have many penalties. Did you focus on that?
– Of course! We see the strengths and weaknesses of our opponent. That is why we focused on that. Thank God we did not concede.
– What happened before the final siren?
– When that happens, everyone tries to stand up for each other. No one has any hard feelings.
– It is an important victory in terms of emotions. The losing streak has ended. From a psychological point of view, is it a good sign?
– We ourselves see the situation in the standings. Therefore, everything is just beginning for us, the fight will be fierce.
