Oleg Leontyev: «It takes time to be 100% ready»

Neftekhimik head coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 1–4 loss to Metallurg Mg.

– We started well. The team played strictly according to our game plan. In the first period, we had a good chance to score a goal, but the shot hit the post. In the second period, the opponent took advantage of the power play and made it 3–0.

In the final period, we spend more time in offensive zone and scored a good goal on the power play. We outshot Metallurg on shots, but still the score was not in our favor. I think we played well against such a strong opponent.

– Samuel Bucek and Yohann Auvitu played their first game. Could you rate their game, taking into account that they spend less than a week with the team?

– From game to game, they will play better. It takes time to be 100% ready. It is clear that it is hard for them, especially, to play first game against Metallurg. The guys will be ready and everything will be fine.
