Neftekhimik Head Coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 0–2 loss against Ak Bars.
– Unfortunately, we did not have the optimal lineup. Bryukvin and Leshchenko were got small injuries – two good players. We came out with a good attitude and fought to the end. Although in the first period the home team was fresher. After all, they rested more. We had good goal–scoring chances, in the first game period we could have already tied the score. Unfortunately, we did not score, otherwise the scenario of the game would have been completely different. We did not have a single power play, when the opponent had four. We played well defensively. I think the defense was properly organized, because of which we did not concede a goal during 4 on 5 hockey. The third period was not bad, we made 18 shots. But we could not score. We fought well, but today the opponent was a little stronger.
