Press conference «Neftekhimik - Avangard».

Oleg Leontyev, the head coach of HC Neftekhimik:

- First and second periods were interesting despite the fact that both teams did not score. Avangard scored first goal of the game but we did not give up and tied up the game. Our goalie kept us in the game and fortunately we scored a game winning goal in overtime. The team blocked a lot of shots and did its best. Congratulations to all fans on a victory!

- Why Tuohimaa did not play?

- France is sick a little bit.

- How did Neftekhimik manage to spend a long time on attack in the second period?

- There are periods when one of the teams was more on the ice during a shift and it is difficult to make a change. Those who defend try to intercept and throw away the puck. Our team had the same situation in the second period.

Bob Hartley, the head coach of HC Avangard:

-Congratulations to Neftekhimik on their win. It was a hard-fought game. We scored a go ahead goal in a third period right back they responded, the game goes in OT, its almost like flipping a coin, its gonna be chances against chances they got a 2 on 1 chance and Sexton made a great shot.

-Avangard did not get any single penalty tonight, was it the task that you gave to the guys? 

- I think that we are pretty disciplined hockey club, we had great discipline, we knew about fire-power of their first line. Obviously, if we would have put them on the power play we would be looking for trouble.

- Was there anything that surprised you in the way that Neftekhimik played today?

- Well, you know, obviously, we do a lots of scouting so we know them. They have a real speedy lineup especially upfront and they have a few defensemen that can move the puck very well. We got the game that we kind of expected from them.
