Neftekhimik Head Coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 3–4 overtime loss against Avangard.
– It was a hard–fought game. It was the first game after a long break, after all. I was a little worried about the start. And that is basically what happened. In the first five minutes, the opposing team was much faster. After some time, we got into the rhythm of the game, which is why we took the lead. But a three–minute loss of focus and individual mistakes led to three conceded goals. However, we once again showed character, scored a good goal in the third period. And overall, we played well. In overtime, there was another individual mistake, which the opponent took advantage of and scored a game–winning goal. But the guys tried their best, they fought well after a long break. We got a well–deserved point. We will move on.Dave Barr, Avangard acting head coach:
– First ten minutes we played very well. They did a good job defending, we had turnovers, get them some opprtuinites to score, but overall, we are very happy getting a win, we take these two points and move on.
