Neftekhimik head coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 1–0 win over Lokomotiv.


Neftekhimik Head Coach Oleg Leontyev:

– It was a hard–batted game against strong opponent. Our goaltender played great. Nikita Khoruzhev scored his first goal KHL goal, and I would like to congratulate him. Also, I would like to say thank you to our fans for their support. Our PL unit did a great job as wel as PP unit.

– Can we say that after first road games series and first home games series the team got a great success?
– Probably, yes. It is nice to look at the standings. But this is only  the beginning of the season. We have a tough road game series against strong opponents. The opening game will be in Chelyabinsk. We are  preparing for this away game.


Lokomotiv Head Coach Igor Nikitin:

– Nizhnekamsk, congratulations on this victory. The opposing team did not let us to play with a cool head. It is hard to play when you do not score.
