Neftekhimik Head Coach Oleg Leontyev speaks with the media after a following 4–2 win over Salavat Yulaev.
– Congratulations to everyone on this victory! It was a good hard–battled game. Congratulations to all the mothers who were rooting for us. I think we gave them a great gift.
Today we blocked 30 shots on goal. This is a great result, a demonstration of teamwork. Everything was decided by special units. The power play unit did a great job, we also did not concede during pk. There were good positional moments that did not allow the opponent to create a threat. In general, we achieved the desired outcome. Once again, congratulations to all the fans on this victory. There was sold out, this fact only motivates us.
Salavat Yulaev head coach Viktor Kozlov:
– We started the game well. In principle, we played well during the whole game, especially at even strength. The opponent also played well, the speed was excellent. But the game of special units decided the outcome of the game. They scored two goal on the power play.
