Coaching Staff

Alexei Podalinsky joined the Chaika coaching staff in November 2025 and took over the team in January 2026. Under his leadership, Chaika won JHL bronze. Alexei previously worked on the coaching staffs at Kapitan Stupino and Sibirskie Snaipery, and spent one season as head coach of Russkie Vityazi. As a player, Podalinsky suited up for Dynamo Moscow, Krylya Sovetov, and Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod.

Roster

The team has retained its starting goaltender, Marat Sabitov, and last season’s top scorer, Sergei Skvortsov (43 points). The Nizhny Novgorod squad also features plenty of talented 2008-born players, including Viktor Fyodorov, Gleb Pugachyov, and Alexei Anisimov. Among the newcomers, Roman Maksimov – acquired in a trade from Sochi – stands out.

Head–to–Head

Reaktor and Chaika have met 49 times in JHL play, with the Nizhny Novgorod side holding a significant advantage. The Nizhnekamsk team has won 13 games in regulation, two in overtime, and three in shootouts. The teams also met this summer at the TNA Cup, where Reaktor won 4–3 in a shootout.
